Love at First Sight

What is it? Do you believe in it? Is it really possible to fall in love with someone you just saw or met at once?

They say love can begin at first look. I guess this answers the first question. This is the simplest meaning I can think about the topic right. now.
Do I believe in it? My answer to definitely no! I guess Ana, sister of Elsa from the movie "Frozen" will be mad at me for saying this. I remembered in the movie she felt inlove with the man she saw at the feast held at the palace.And if you are one with Ana first and foremost my apologies for being so straight about my answer.

Why do I say so? Where am I coming from?

I actually once believe its true because I think I felt in love with someone before, the first time weve met. Flashback to my memory of it. That time when I saw her I felt that unexplainable feeling. My heart was beating so fast. I felt there was heat inside me slowly rushing to my face - to my cheeks which I believe made it red. Not sure. But all the goodness of emotions was there. The butterflies in the stomach and electricity of some sort running through my veins. - And I said, This is love at first sight.

Now, why do I suddenly change gears and say I dont believe in it? Its because I have learned that love is different from an emotion. Love actually is more than just an emotion. The standard truth about love is what I believe in. and that truth can be found in the Bible

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 it says:

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

In this definition of love, it says love has nothing to do with your emotions with how we feel. But love is an action. If you do all things mentioned above that is love, and you are in love. And the one word that can describe love it is being "selfless". Love is not something you automatically learn but it will take time, it will take you to testings to prove its really love.

Again, to get to my point. The emotion we feel whenever we saw a person we are attracted to the first time- the heart beating and blushing and all - those are not love. Those are plainly emotion. I guess the correct word is "Emotion at First Sight.
